Class of 2017 Cohort Leaders

California

Yifan Gong is a senior from Fremont, CA, pursuing a degree in Business Administration. He is interested in human capital consulting and supply chain management. On campus, he is involved with HBSA and the Berkeley Dance Community as part of Danceworx. In his spare time, he loves to throw parties, go out, and try out new and exciting experiences. He’s looking forward to getting to know the Haas community and to create an excellent undergrad experience for everyone!

 

Sproul

Katherine Krive is from Petaluma, CA and is pursuing a degree in Business Administration. On campus, she is involved in the Haas Undergraduate Students Blog, Starting Point Mentorship for transfer students, and Livingwater Church. Katherine will be working as a management consulting intern this coming summer with PwC in the tech industry. In her spare time, she loves grabbing chai with friends, singing, finding hipster cafes to snapchat, and traveling.

Bear

Christopher LaFerla is a fourth year from Los Angeles studying Business Administration. He is interested in investment banking and sales & trading and is excited to begin his S&T internship in New York this summer. Christopher loves to stay active and can often be found at intramural soccer and basketball games (just look for the losing team). He also enjoys exploring Berkeley and eating food that he cannot afford in San Francisco. He loves to meet new people, so reach out and say hello!

Sammy Tong is a senior from Hong Kong and Canada pursuing degrees in Business Administration. She studied abroad last semester in Sweden. In her free time, she enjoys experimenting with recipes, baking desserts and bread. She loves meeting new friends and is quite good with faces. Free free to walk up and say hello, she’d love to meet you!

Axe

Kayla is a senior from Cupertino, CA, pursuing a major in Business Administration and a minor in Dance & Performance Studies. She is interested in marketing in the entertainment industry, specifically tour promotion and artist management. Kayla is also a huge Taylor Swift fan, and the highlight of her life was dancing with Taylor in the Shake It Off music video! She loves talking about it, so if you see her on campus, ask for the story!

Class of 2018 Cohort Leaders

Vitoria Goncalves is a transfer from Skyline College majoring in Business Administration with a focus on environmental sustainability. Her goal is to one day establish an eco-conscious fashion company. She emigrated from her home country of Brazil at the age of seven. Due to her international background, she is highly interested in discovering the different student backgrounds and cultures at Berkeley. Through the Cohort program, she hopes to foster a community of diverse, yet nurturing peers whose acceptance and encouragement aids to all our individual successes. During her free time, she is an amateur photographer and loves to hike. Vitoria is very passionate about ensuring lifelong community connections through both activities and events. She looks forward to working with and getting to know her Class of 2018.

Lucy Huang is a third year from Fremont, CA pursuing a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Scandinavian. On campus, she is involved in Berkeley Women in Business (BWIB), the annual Financial Literacy and Economic Justice Conference, and the ASUC Student Union. This past summer, she studied abroad in London and worked for Simon & Schuster as an intern for the marketing and publicity team while also traveling to multiple cities, including Rome, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, and Berlin. In her free time, Lucy enjoys playing with her dog, going to concerts, and exploring the restaurants of Berkeley. She is looking forward to joining the Haas community and meeting the Class of 2018!

Brad Brenner is a junior-level transfer student from Laguna Niguel, in Southern California, who is pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a focus in management and finance. With a strong passion for business management and surfing, Brad started his own surf company with two close friends and began developing a real-world understanding of the business world. In his free time, Brad enjoys surfing great waves, camping and hiking in beautiful outdoor environments, and playing the guitar. Known for being very involved, Brad is extremely enthusiastic about meeting and getting to know every amazing individual in the Haas community, and he cannot wait to make the most of his next two years as a Cal Bear!

Sanjay Sreekumar is a junior from Fremont, CA pursuing degrees in Business Administration and Computer Science. On campus he enjoys mentoring and working on the board for Project SMILE, a student-run non-profit that offers academic and emotional guidance to middle school students here at Berkeley. He also has been involved with computer science research and is a consultant for Valley Consulting Group. In his free time Sanjay loves being active, listening to music, and meeting new people!

 

Divya Saha is a third-year Business Administration and Economics major from San Jose, California. In addition to being a Haas Cohort leader, she is actively involved in Berkeley Business Society and 100 Strong. Her professional interests include Consulting, Marketing, and Business Strategy. In her free time, she loves to spend time with friends, go on food adventures, dance, and watch movies. She can’t wait to get to know the Class of 2018 and is excited for the next two years!

 

Jieun (Jane) Lee is a third year from Cupertino, CA. She is a pursuing a simultaneous degree in Applied  Mathematics and Business Administration. Her professional interests include finance, consulting, and data science. On campus, she is involved in VHIO (Volunteer Health Interpreters Organization), and in her free time she enjoys exploring new food places, watching Chinese dramas and movies, and napping. She is excited to join the Haas community and looks forward to a great year!

 

Faith Cheng is a junior transfer from Foothill College. Hoping to pursue justice at the intersection between corporations and human rights, she aims to go to law school after obtaining a degree in Business Administration. Currently, she partners with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in making her campus a more welcoming environment for international students. Faith interned this past school year at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, which advances social justice in education. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, practicing yoga, cheering for the Golden State Warriors, and spontaneously breaking into song. In addition, Faith loves making new friends, and is always down to chat over Pho noodles or boba milk tea.
